Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuh,
Dear All,
May this email find you all in the best of health and under the guidance and protection of ALLAH always.
Recently whilst some of us were in Saudi performing our Hajj Pilgrimage, our fellow Malaysian, Tuan Haji Salihin had a sudden heart attack whilst playing hockey and by Qadar of ALLAH died not long after, leaving behind a wife and his four children to survive on their own.
Many of our fellow countrymen joined together in his Janazah Prayer as well as the burial rites at the Abu Hamour Graveyard wishing, making doa and bidding our last farewell to him. May ALLAH bless him and grant HIS mercy to him by admitting him to Jannah, AMEEN.
How many of us would have our hearts and minds still lingering with the memory of Haji Salihin up till now. Perhaps his family and closed friends…
How many of us would still be thinking about him and his fate one day after the burial or even a few hours after that, before we start busy ourselves with our worldly matters, oblivious to his fate or in the contemplation of our own future fate of our journey in the grave and beyond.
Those Hajis who have just return from their pilgrimage would remember the two ihram pieces of clothes they wore which symbolically represent how we would be wrapped up in the grave in the future when our time comes.
In view of the above it has been proposed to organized a series of talks on such matter related to our journey beyond our lives in this world so as to provide us with a timely reminder on how are we supposed to conduct our lives following the Quran and Sunnah and that we are fully responsible for all our actions in this dunia, good, bad or insignificant.
We have invited Brother Nabegh to give our community the talk on the subject and Alhamdulillah he has agreed and his chosen topic is entitled "A Mukmin's Journey to Paradise".
Some of you may have recognized Brother Nabegh from the regular Friday Khutbah in English series that he would regularly give either at Al Fanar Mosque or at Aspire Mosque near Villaggio.
Therefore the program series will start with a two part talk with details as follows;
